(ReliableNews.org) – CNN’s Anderson Cooper managed to shred any semblance of journalistic integrity during a Sept. 22 broadcast. His intention to defame President Donald Trump was clear from the start of the segment and only worsened as he continued his show.
Cooper took issue with remarks made by the president during a Sept. 21 campaign stop in Ohio. Attempting to assuage concerns about the COVID-19 outbreak, Trump reminded the crowd the coronavirus mainly affected the elderly and those with preexisting conditions.
After trashing the president for several minutes, Cooper insulted him, calling him “elderly” and overweight.
Trump on coronavirus: “It affects elderly people, elderly people with heart problems and other problems.”
Anderson Cooper: “The President might want to look in the mirror or get on a scale, because he is elderly, and obesity is an underlying condition.”

This incident isn’t the first time Cooper went off the rails in recent weeks. In August, he got into a heated discussion with MyPillow founder Mike Lindell over a potential treatment for the coronavirus going so far as to accuse him of being a “snake oil salesman.”
Established journalistic ethics standards demand objectivity, fairness, and impartiality. They also call for “public accountability.” It’s high time CNN took a serious look at Cooper’s future as one of its hosts.
