(ReliableNews.org) – Cities across the country have put COVID-19 vaccine mandates in place for law enforcement officers and other first responders. President Joe Biden has also mandated the shots for agencies with more than 100 employees. Many cops have refused to submit and have left their positions. At a recent event, the POTUS showed no sympathy for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day.
During a CNN town hall event on October 21, Anderson Cooper mentioned many first responders have indicated they will not be getting the vaccine despite mandates at local and federal levels. The television host asked Biden what his position is on the matter, and specifically whether he thinks police officers and others should stay home or be fired if they’re unvaccinated. The president responded, “yes and yes.”
Biden mocks people who he says are making the COVID vaccine "a political issue":

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) slammed Biden for his remarks. She accused him of attacking Americans’ freedoms and applauded first responders who put their lives on the line every day.
Joe Biden is attacking Americans' everyday freedoms.
Our first responders and law enforcement officers put their lives on their line to protect us.
Now, authoritarian vaccine mandates are forcing them out of their jobs. pic.twitter.com/25LR6gFK9Y

Police officers and other first responders around the country have been quitting their jobs over the mandates. Many of them object to the government forcing its way into their doctors’ offices and influencing their personal medical decisions. At a time when crime is on the rise, Americans need police officers to protect them and the country, but it seems the President doesn’t understand that.
