(ReliableNews.org) – The Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicked off on August 17, and for days, the party’s heavy-hitters have gone to bat for Joe Biden. The media predicted the convention was going to boost the former vice president’s poll numbers because of Leftist favorites, like Michelle Obama, making appearances. However, a new survey blows that narrative out of the water.
According to an August 19 Rasmussen Poll, President Donald Trump is gaining on Biden. The pollster conducted a national telephone survey and found 48% of voters support the Democratic nominee, down from 49% a week ago. The commander-in-chief, on the other hand, was given a boost, with 44% of voters choosing him, up from 43% last time.

This is supposed to be a big week for Biden. If his poll numbers are slipping now, during a convention highlighting all of his best qualities, what’s going to happen when the spotlight is off of him? The election is less than 80 days away, and the president is still gaining voters. If Trump can keep this momentum going, it’s possible he’ll sail to victory on November 3.
