China's Practice Targets Shaped Like US Assets

(ReliableNews.org) – On November 3, the Department of Defense released the 2021 Chinese Military Power report. It revealed startling facts about the expansion of the communist country’s military, including its growing stockpile of nuclear weapons. As the US digests the report, new satellite images show the Chinese military attacking familiar targets.

According to a November 7 US Naval Institute (USNI News) report, China has built targets shaped like two US Arleigh Burke-class destroyers and one aircraft carrier. The targets were seen on satellite images taken by Maxar Technologies. The photos were taken in the Ruoqiang region of central China. The foreign military is allegedly using the targets to test its DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missiles.

US Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) called China a “dangerous threat” to America upon hearing the news.

Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby told the media the Defense Department has heard the report but said the department is less concerned with what China is doing and more worried about the level of US readiness.

Military preparedness is exactly what the Defense Department should be focusing on if a recent report is correct. The Heritage Foundation has found the US military is smaller and less prepared than it should be. If the US wants to fight off China, or any enemy, it needs to pay more attention to its own military.

Do you think the Chinese are a serious threat to the US?
