(ReliableNews.org) – Democrats appear almost giddy as “cancel culture” plunges the nation into a period of extreme chaos. But, to be fair, the recent incarnation started building a few years ago with the push to erase the Confederate flag from public display and marketplaces like eBay, Sears, and Walmart, even money-hungry Jeff Bezos had Amazon pull the flag from its website. The year was 2015, and a lot has happened since then.
For instance, on Tuesday, June 29, this year, the Democratic-led House of Representatives passed a new bill calling for the removal of any artwork displayed in the US Capitol Building honoring anyone with a history of defending slavery, including any person who served the Confederacy.

The measure passed with votes from both sides of the aisle. Republicans split on the matter, with 120 voting against the measure and 67 for its passage.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) said it was high time Congress removed the so-called “symbols of slavery, segregation, and sedition” from the halls of Congress. He also claimed he wasn’t calling on Americans to forget history. Rather, he wants them to learn from it, and in his opinion, not honoring individuals who “defied the principles” he believes the country values — at least in his estimation will achieve that purpose.
At best, this is ‘cancel culture’ at its finest. At the worst, it is a form of revisionist history.
