(ReliableNews.org) – On Friday, September 18, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died at age 87 from complications related to pancreatic cancer. Before her family had a moment to mourn, Democrats began screeching about who is going to fill her seat. Worse yet, they’re now threatening a radical move.
President Donald Trump said he would perform his constitutionally-mandated duties and nominate a replacement for the court. When Democrats heard he was going to do his job, they went bonkers. Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA) said the Left is going to pack the court if the Senate holds a vote to confirm in 2020.
If he holds a vote in 2020, we pack the court in 2021.
It’s that simple.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) said something similar.
If Sen. McConnell and @SenateGOP were to force through a nominee during the lame duck session—before a new Senate and President can take office—then the incoming Senate should immediately move to expand the Supreme Court. 1/2 https://t.co/BDYQ0KVmJe

Kennedy and Nadler aren’t the only Democrats to express that feeling, it’s been swirling since Ginsburg died. “Packing the court” means the Left would put more than nine justices on the bench. Liberals believe they could do it because the Constitution doesn’t specifically say how many judges should sit on the high court.
Packing the court would be a gross abuse of power. But it’s one they could only do if they won the Senate in November.
