Dianne Feinstein Called On To Step Down

Dianne Feinstein Called On To Step Down

(ReliableNews.org) – On October 15, the Senate Judiciary Committee wrapped up the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett. It was a pretty uneventful week, until the end. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) did something that some people say she should resign over.

An Act of Betrayal

During the final day of the hearings, Feinstein had the audacity to compliment another committee member. The senator thanked Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) for presiding over “one of the best Senate hearings” she’s participated in. The Democrat went on to commend him for his “fairness.”

Then, when the hearing ended, Feinstein hugged Graham.

People should have applauded the moment. The two senators showed the country they can disagree with one another politically but still respect one another. That’s what many Americans say they want to see in Congress.

Unfortunately, radical Democrats ruined the moment and started calling on Feinstein to resign.

Twitter Attacks

Social media lit up with angry Liberals screeching about the compassion the two senators showed one another. Slate writer Mark Joseph Stern called the hug a “betrayal” of the Liberals fighting against confirming Barrett.

Lawfare Executive Editor Susan Hennessey claimed Feinstein “mismanaged the hearings,” but didn’t explain how. Maybe because she didn’t allow Democrats to accuse this nominee of assault like they did to Justice Brett Kavanaugh?

Mother Jones writer Ari Berman claimed the senator was rewarding the GOP for stealing a Supreme Court seat.

On and on it went. The Democratic Party is so partisan that even common courtesy is rejected by its voters. And this is the same party that claims President Donald Trump is dividing the country.
