President Trump is NOT backing down!
According to a Daily Beast news report, the President would like the three men he pardoned to join him on the 2020 campaign trail.
According to two unidentified sources, President Trump would like to have Army First Lt. Clint Lorance, Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, and Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher take part in the GOP convention next year and join him at re-election rallies.
Trump wants the war criminals he pardoned to campaign for him and show up at his rallies, despite military and international backlash to the pardons – fallout from which cost Navy Secretary Spencer his job on Sunday.https://t.co/kycVg3TBrW

One of the sources said,
“He briefly discussed making it a big deal at the convention.”
The president made a reference to the 2016 [convention] and where they brought on-stage heroes” like Marcus Luttrell, whose harrowing experience in combat was portrayed in the major motion picture, “Lone Survivor.”
President Trump has been criticized for his Nov. 15th decision to grant clemency to Lorance and Golsteyn and for restoring Gallagher’s rank. Others have praised his efforts and are happy for his support to those who protect our country.
This has definitely caused some friction between the White House and Pentagon officials, especially with the resignation of Navy Secretary Richard Spencer who mishandled Gallagher’s case.
Whether the American people agree or disagree, President Trump’s decision to pardon the service members definitely undermines the Obama-era micromanagement that shackled military fighting forces from effectively doing their jobs.
Do you think President Trump gained or lost support with his decision to pardon the three service members?
