(ReliableNews.org) – The Senate acquitted former President Donald Trump of the incitement of insurrection charge the House of Representatives charged him with after the January 6 incident on Capitol Hill. Instead of just moving on, a congressman from California is still attacking the 45th president.
On March 5, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) filed a civil lawsuit against Donald Trump in federal court. The congressman named the former president, his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump Jr., and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) accusing them of inflicting emotional distress on him. The charges included disorderly conduct, conspiracy to violate civil rights, and a number of other ridiculous charges.

This lawsuit is clearly a publicity stunt. The Senate has already cleared the former president of the charge of incitement that Swalwell and the Leftists in the House brought against him. Further, Trump has a right to free speech in America. Perhaps the congressman should spend less time playing the victim, and more time reading the Constitution. It’s his job to defend it, after all.
