Famous Actor in Beverly Hills, 90210, and Port Charles Dies at 58

(ReliableNews.org) – “Beverly Hills, 90210” is one of the most iconic shows in television history. In the 1990s and early 2000s, the show had a huge fan base, making all of the people who starred in the show popular. That included David Gail. Sadly, he has now passed away.

On January 20, Gail’s sister, Katie Colmenares, shared a photo of herself and her brother on Instagram. She announced that he passed away. In her heartfelt tribute, the grieving sibling stated that he was always her “wingman” and “best friend.” She said she would miss him “every second of every day forever.”

Reports indicated that Gail died from heart failure. The New York Post reported a statement from his mother, Mary, who said that their family was “extremely touched by the outpouring of love” David’s colleagues and fans have shown them. She said they were “grateful for all the support” during this time.

In 1990, during season one, 90210 fans met Gail when the main character Brenda Walsh (played by Shannen Doherty) visited Palm Springs and met a guy named “Tom.” He was only on one episode of the first season, but fans were reintroduced to Gail in season 4. This time, he was playing an entirely different character named “Stuart Carson.” He and Brenda get engaged, but the relationship eventually ends.

Doherty, who is battling cancer, paid tribute to her on-screen fiancé by posting a photo of the two of them together on Instagram.

In addition to 90210, Gail starred in the “General Hospital” spin-off “Port Charles.” He was also a series regular on “Savannah” and “Robin’s Hoods.” He guest starred on some other iconic shows, including “Murder She Wrote,” “Matlock,” “Growing Pains,” and “Doogie Howser, M.D.” during his long career.

Pete Ferriero, the host of the “Beverly Hills 90210 Show” podcast, shared clips of Gail on his Instagram, saying his friend was “filled of life and incredible stories,” calling him “a gift to us all.”
