(ReliableNews.org) – In the weeks leading up to the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, there were rumblings that something might happen. After the incident lawmakers from both sides of the aisle wanted to know why there wasn’t a larger law enforcement presence at the event. As new information emerges, it’s even more baffling.
According to Fox News, the FBI reportedly visited extremist groups before the Capitol Hill protests and told members to stay away from Washington DC. The federal law enforcement agency also allegedly warned the Capitol Police about the possibility of violence, but for some reason the department wasn’t prepared for what happened as Congress tried to certify the Electoral College vote.

It’s still unclear if radical Leftist groups were involved in the attack on the Capitol. The FBI has said the groups were not there, but Republican lawmakers disagree. What is clear is that law enforcement was not prepared for what went down in spite of warnings. How could that have happened?
