FBI Reportedly Stonewalling Congressional Probe Of Hunter Biden

(ReliableNews.org) – The FBI refused to cooperate with recent demands for information from Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) about what actions the agency took, if any, regarding allegations of the payment of millions of dollars in bribes by Ukrainian energy company Burisma to shut down an investigation into their operations.

Of particular concern is the potential involvement of Hunter Biden, who served on the company’s board of directors despite a near-total lack of experience in the energy industry.

Jordan, the House Judiciary Committee’s ranking member, requested the information as part of an ongoing probe into possible criminal conduct by Hunter Biden, son of the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

A recently revealed letter from the FBI showed they refused the request stating they could “neither confirm nor deny the existence” of an inquiry into the matter. However, as the House Judiciary Committee Republicans tweeted, on Oct. 8, the FBI “frequently confirmed” the existence of investigations involving the Russians.

So what’s up with the double standard? The rule of law calls for the equal application of the law, something FBI Director Chris Wray seems to have forgotten. Perhaps it’s for him to make an appearance before the House Judiciary Committee to explain his actions or lack thereof.
