Fight Erupts In Democrat “Family Meeting” With Pelosi

(ReliableNews.org) – Democrats thought they were going to easily sail to victory on Tuesday, November 3, in nearly all of their elections. Instead, the American people rejected their attempts at a blue wave. Although votes are still being counted, it’s unlikely the Left is going to take the Senate, and they definitely lost House seats. It’s the latter that caused a fight among members of Congress.

Left Battles It Out

On November 5, a conference call between House Democrats devolved into a fight. According to reports, moderates were angry at their progressive colleagues who are trying to push a far-Left agenda that cost the party seats in Congress. In the lead-up to the election, “Squad” members openly discussed their plans to push Medicare-for-All, the Green New Deal, and other radical policies.

Voters obviously cringed at the thought, and multiple Republicans won races for seats held by Democrats. That made Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) angry. During the meeting, she reportedly went after her progressive colleagues, calling their campaign strategy a “failure.” The congresswoman was especially annoyed about the party promoting the asinine “defund the police” idea. Rep. Marc Veasey (D-TX) agreed with her.

Progressive lawmakers jumped into the conversation to defend themselves. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called the election a “victory” because the party retained control of the House. And Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) told members to keep the “family meeting” private.

Someone ignored his advice and almost immediately leaked it to the media.

Chaos on the Left

It’s no surprise the two factions are fighting. It was only a matter of time. The question is: how long is it going to take for the Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) progressives to cancel Democrats who won’t bend a knee? And how might that impact Joe Biden if he wins the presidency?
