George Conway Says Trump Is “Deteriorating”

(ReliableNews.org) – George Conway is a conservative attorney and former supporter of former President Donald Trump. His wife, Kellyanne Conway, served as the former POTUS’ campaign manager in 2016 and worked for the White House as a senior advisor. Recently, he accused Trump of “deteriorating.”

On January 26, Conway appeared on MSNBC for an interview. He commented on Trump’s victory speech following the New Hampshire primary, where he made fun of his opponent Nikki Haley’s clothing. The conservative attorney said the former president is afraid of Haley and accused him of being a narcissist and sociopath.

Conway stated that Trump says he’s a “stable genius because he knows he is neither stable nor a genius” and he has been behaving that way for years. The former president’s ex-supporter claimed Trump is “deteriorating under the pressure of the legal cases and as a result of his advanced age.”

The mention of Trump’s age (77 years old) and mental health is something Democrats have also pushed. The former president was recently attacked by critics when he repeatedly referred to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the former speaker of the House, as Nikki Haley. He said Haley had blocked troops from securing the US Capitol after his supporters tried to stop the certification of the 2020 election on January 6, 2021.

Conway congratulated Haley for attacking her former boss and doing it the way he thinks it should be done, both by her and President Joe Biden in the fall. He said the former president’s opponents need to wage psychological warfare on him.

In another interview the next day on CNN to discuss the verdict in the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial, Conway called Trump an “evil man” and accused him of being unable to “control himself.” He told Kaitlan Collins that the former president is someone who is “deeply disturbed [and] a morally bereft human being” without empathy or remorse.
