(ReliableNews.org) – A number of conservatives, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), have come out in recent days to slam the Democratic-led House for impeaching former President Donald Trump again. Specifically, because they did it so closely to the end of his first term. One Republican senator doesn’t just think the proceedings are divisive, she also believes that it’s unconstitutional.
On Tuesday, January 19, Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) spoke to reporters and asked why Congress is moving forward with the impeachment when Trump was leaving office the next day. The press asked her if she thought the proceedings were constitutional, she responded, “I don’t think it is.”

The Founding Fathers thought of almost everything when they wrote the Constitution, including how to remove a president from office. They made it clear that the impeachment process was supposed to take place while the POTUS in question was in office, how else would Congress remove them if they were convicted. Senator Ernst and conservatives are right; this impeachment scam goes against the law of our land and the Senate needs to dismiss it.
