Gov. DeSantis Takes Swift Revenge Against HUGE Banking Corporation
(ReliableNews.org) – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has made a name for himself by fighting back against everything he considers “woke.” The conservative leader recently went after the banking industry and now, he’s celebrating a win against them.
The current saga started when PayPal locked the account of Tina Descovich, co-founder of Moms for Liberty. According to Bloomberg, the payment processor suspended the organization’s accounts after it received $100,000 in donations in three days in April. “We were paralyzed for weeks,” she explained.
PayPal did not publicly discuss why it chose to suspend the account. It’s unclear whether the sudden change stemmed from suspicious activity or another cause.
DeSantis learned of the incident and announced he was taking action against “woke banking.” At a July press conference in Tampa, he said he didn’t want to see financial “discrimination” in his state. Florida proposed legislation to prohibit credit card companies and banks from discriminating against consumers based on political, religious, or social beliefs.

On August 1, DeSantis announced on Twitter that PayPal released Descovich’s funds just days after announcing that he would target financial institutions. The governor believes the reversal directly resulted from his state’s actions to protect citizens.
Last week Tina Descovich, Co-Founder of @Moms4Liberty, shared that PayPal locked their account and withheld funds with no warning or justification.
