(ReliableNews.org) – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) continued his trend of not taking responsibility for his actions this week. During a press conference about the nursing home deaths in his state, his role in them, and the alleged cover-up, he decided to place the blame squarely on the shoulders of everyone else.
During a February 15 press conference, the governor claimed his directive ordering nursing homes to take in COVID-19 patients was not the reason the virus then spread in the facilities, killing more than 12,000 people. Instead, he said the healthcare workers, who were putting their own lives at risk, were the real spreaders of the deadly virus.
That’s not all, he also claimed that “there’s nothing to investigate” in regards to an alleged cover-up. Then blamed the “toxic political environment” for the scandal.
The press conference was a shameless demonstration of what happens when a politician cares more about his own reputation than the people he serves. That’s why there is now a movement to oust him. Unfortunately, it’s come thousands of deaths too late.
