(ReliableNews.org) – Eager to discredit Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court, failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton eagerly shredded the Constitutional, shaming the Founding Fathers along the way.
Judge Barrett testified about her judicial philosophy on the Constitution as a self-described originalist during the Senate Judiciary Committee’s second day of confirmation hearings on October 14.
The judge explained she viewed the Constitution applying its original meaning at the time of its ratification. The following day, Clinton lashed out at Judge Barrett, tweeting women couldn’t be judges when the Constitution was written.
However, as you can see from the tweet below, Christopher J. Scalia quickly set Clinton straight on matters.
Dear HRC staffers: originalists don’t believe the Constitution should never change; they just realize it’s the job not of judges but of citizens through their legislators to make those changes. See, for example, the 19th amendment.

And yes, if you’re wondering, Christopher is the son of conservative Associate Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. As the younger Scalia noted, the Founders understood the Constitution as a living document subject to change over time.
For example, the Founding Fathers ratified the Constitution in June 1788 and proposed amending it themselves in September 1789. Ten of twelve amendments were later enshrined as the official Bill of Rights in December 1791.
Clinton’s insult to the Founders and deliberate undermining of the Constitution serve as reminders of the importance of President Donald Trump’s ascension to the nation’s highest office.
