(ReliableNews.org) – “Avengers: Infinity War” is a Marvel movie released in 2018 starring the Avengers — a group of superheroes trying to save the universe from supervillain Thanos. Thanos, referred to as The Mad Titan, is on a quest searching the universe for the Infinity Stones, which will give him unlimited power. The supervillain aims to use that strength to wipe out half of the universe’s population in order to reduce the number of beings depleting resources and ultimately save the environment and whoever is left — he succeeded.
In February, Canadian filmmaker James Cameron sat for an interview with Time magazine. During that discussion, he revealed he could “relate to Thanos.” Cameron said he thought the supervillain had a pretty good idea about how to save the universe, but the only problem would be that no one would “volunteer” to be part of the half eliminated.

The movie is part of the Marvel Studios franchise, which includes over two dozen films with more on the way. “Avengers: Infinity War” was wildly popular at the box office, bringing in over $2 billion worldwide. That said, Cameron’s movies have been quite successful over the years as well, with films like “Terminator,” “Titanic,” and “Avatar” under his belt.
While “Terminator” dabbles in the destruction of humankind in favor of robots taking over the planet, “Avatar” deals with the environment. In the movie, a group of humans use avatars to scope out the planet of Pandora, whose natives, Na’vi, live in synchronicity with nature. The human’s mission is to wipe out the locals and collect the environmental riches of the planet. In Cameron’s movie, the Na’vi defeat the invaders and preserve their home with its riches intact.
According to the Daily Caller, preserving the environment seems to be a running theme in many of Cameron’s films.
