(ReliableNews.org) – On Sunday, October 24, Houston police officers discovered the skeletal remains of an eight-year-old boy along with his surviving, horribly abused three siblings while making a welfare call at their home. A 15-year-old called 911 that day and told operators his younger brother’s dead body had been inside the home for nearly a year. The case was dubbed the ‘Houston House of Horrors’ by some media outlets as the results of the ongoing investigation continue to shock law enforcement officials.
Police officers initially arrested the children’s mother, Gloria Williams, and her boyfriend, Brian Coulter. However, they temporarily had to let them go until investigators could build a case against the couple. Police took them into custody again on Tuesday.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez spoke with reporters the day after the couple’s arrest. Understandably, he noted cases involving abused children are tougher than other criminal investigations. Continuing, he related they were “horrific and heartbreaking,” particularly since they involve some of society’s most “innocent and defenseless” members.
Prosecutors charged 31-year-old Coulter with murder. He remains behind bars in a mental health facility on a million-dollar bond. Williams, 35, faces charges of “injury to a child by omission” and evidence tampering; she’s being held in a Houston detention facility on a $900,000 bond.
With any luck, neither defendant will ever experience the light of day outside the confines of a prison wall or a lock-down mental health facility.
