(ReliableNews.org) – Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been stirring up controversy since she assumed office in 2019. She quickly aligned with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and other so-called progressives to form “The Squad,” a leftist group of junior members of Congress running over moderate Democrats like an out of control steamroller.
Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) and a group of 11 other House Democrats called out Omar in a June 10 tweet. They asked her to clarify recent remarks she made equating the United States and Israel to the Taliban and Hamas.

The group said her remarks were as “offensive” as they were “misguided.” They slammed her for “ignoring” the differences between a democracy led by the rule of law and a group that actively engages in terrorist activities. They also accused Omar of discrediting her arguments at best and of displaying “deep-seated prejudice” at the worst.
She quickly responded to the tweet calling her Democratic colleagues “shameful.” She accused them of using her in the past, and calling her out in public instead of calling her privately. She also accused them of displaying an “offensive” anti-Islamic attitude with their statement. She concluded her remarks saying their harassment and silence on matters like this when they are around are “is unbearable.”
Omar is already known for her anti-semitic rants and can certainly dish it out, but it appears she can’t take it when the tables are turned.
