(ReliableNews.org) – Conversations regarding the teaching of critical race theory (CRT) in public schools have increased across the country. CRT is an academic framework that argues racism is not the result of individual bias or prejudice. Instead, it is firmly embedded in the nation’s legal systems and institutions. Republicans and GOP-led states have led the charge to prevent the teaching of CRT in public schools due to concerns CRT creates divisions within society and urges racial intolerance.
Radical progressive Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) posted a tweet on June 19 that claimed CRT isn’t being taught in schools. She also accused Republicans of creating false outrage over a problem that doesn’t exist and challenged them to reveal the public schools that teach CRT to children.
Republicans love to create outrage over things that aren’t actually happening. People should be asking them, what elementary, middle and high school is teaching Critical Race Theory and why they are spinning false narratives.

There’s just one problem. Parents nationwide say schools are teaching CRT to their children. For instance, Anne Manusky pulled her children out of Connecticut’s Easton, Redding & Region 9 School Districts over concerns about CRT.
It’s difficult to say exactly how many school systems teach CRT. However, the multitude of parents reporting the practice at their children’s school indicates the problem could be widespread. Someone should take Rep. Omar on her offer and let her know unless she’s the one presenting a false narrative.
