Recently, authorities had to drop the charges against one man after learning they’d been duped.
On January 20, federal authorities arrested Chris Kelly for allegedly entering the Capitol building during the incident earlier that month. Prosecutors charged him with aiding and abetting, obstruction of an official proceeding, violent entry, unlawful entry to a restricted building or grounds and disorderly conduct. However, on June 1 all of the charges were dropped after prosecutors learned Kelly never entered the building. An informant told the FBI that he entered the building, but authorities were never able to prove it.
The latest news leaves one to wonder how many others are facing charges because someone lied about them or was incorrect? Is this another Democratic witch hunt, but one being carried out against former President Donald Trump’s supporters?
