(ReliableNews.org) – Ghislaine Maxwell is preparing to face trial in the US this fall on charges related to her ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking ring. As she gets ready for that, police overseas are looking into her activities. London’s Metropolitan Police are launching a new investigation into Epstein and Maxwell after a local news station uncovered disturbing allegations.
On Tuesday, June 15, London’s News Channel 4 aired an explosive TV special about Epstein and Maxwell. Journalists found more than half a dozen girls and women who claimed they were groomed, abused, targeted, and trafficked for sex over more than a decade. The news organization revealed the number could be even higher.

According to News Channel 4, none of the allegations against the British socialite and her convicted sex offender partner were ever fully investigated by police. One of the accusers, Virginia Roberys Giuffre, has said that the pair forced her to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was 17-years-old in Maxwell’s London home. Still, the police did not open an investigation into her allegations.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told the New York Post that they take “allegations of sexual offenses and exploitation seriously,” but stood by its decision to not investigate the allegations against the royal. However, they did say they have launched a probe into the allegations that the two trafficked and raped numerous other girls. It’s not clear what that could mean for Maxwell.
