Joe Biden’s Joke To Journalist Fails Miserably

(ReliableNews.org) – Joe Biden is not known for his eloquent style of speaking. Many consider him to be a bit of a hothead. However, his recent remark to a journalist asking about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas was way over the top.

Biden was sitting behind the wheel of a new F-150 electric pickup truck on May 18 when a reporter asked him if she could ask a “quick question” about Israel. He responded an emphatic No, and quickly replied– “Not unless you get in front of the car as I step on it.” He insisted his remark was a joke but drove off anyway without answering the question.

As one might expect, the push back against his so-called joke was swift. Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany pointed out the obvious: if Donald Trump had made a similar joke, “there would have been outrage” over it. The former GOP chair Amy Tarkanian echoed that sentiment, tweeting that Trump would have been impeached had he made that kind of a joke.

Tarkanian also pointed out that joke or not, that kind of rhetoric is unacceptable, coming from a president. That being said, it appears that Biden is willing to go to any length to avoid talking about Israel.
