Kevin McCarthy Praises Elon Musk Shortly After Trump Blasted Him

Elon Musk Causes TENSIONS Between Lawmakers – Changes Incoming?

(ReliableNews.org) – Earlier this year, Elon Musk announced he would be voting Republican for the first time. Weeks later, the Tesla founder got into a public feud with former President Donald Trump. Although the 45th POTUS made it clear he wasn’t a fan of the entrepreneur, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has a different opinion.

On Tuesday, August 16, Musk attended a Republican Party retreat in Wyoming after reportedly being invited as McCarthy’s special guest. Before the businessman took the stage, the House leader introduced him as the “Thomas Edison of our Time.” During the event, Musk spoke to donors and congressional leaders about the direction he thinks the party needs to take. Specifically, the billionaire told those in attendance they needed to start being more compassionate in front of voters.

McCarthy’s decision to invite Musk to the retreat was interesting, considering he wants to be speaker of the House again if the GOP takes back the majority. In order to win the majority of votes, he’ll need to appeal to the Trump wing of the party. The former president has very vocally criticized Musk, even calling him a “bulls**t artist.” The billionaire said GOP’s most beloved politician, Trump, should sit out of the presidential race in 2024. And still, that didn’t stop the minority leader from inviting the businessman to the retreat.

What do you think about McCarthy’s relationship with Musk?
