
(ReliableNews.org) – There’s little doubt that North Korea poses a serious threat to American security interests at home and abroad as an emerging nuclear power. Add in the unpredictable and cruel nature of the country’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and there’s a recipe for disaster — on a global scale.
His ability to lie with impunity only makes matters worse, evoking memories of President Ronald Reagan’s admonition to “trust,” but always make sure to “verify.”

It seems his so-called stellar economy has been ravaged by a combination of sanctions imposed by the Trump administration, a series of severe natural disasters, and border closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic (although he usually won’t admit North Korea has any active cases).
It should be interesting to see what concessions US officials can get out of him after all his bluster of the last few years, coupled with attempts to develop missiles capable of reaching America’s mainland. This story is ongoing, and we will keep you updated as things develop.
