(ReliableNews.org) – On November 2, political newcomer Glenn Younkin defeated Democratic opponent Terry McAuliffe in Virginia’s gubernatorial election. Obama’s former campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter, discussed the loss during an MSNBC interview the following evening. She warned that Democrats needed to ensure they don’t let Republicans become “the party of parents” during the upcoming 2022 midterm elections. Lara Trump weighed in on Cutter’s remarks on Fox & Friends, doling out some bad news for Democrats.
Trump said, “it’s a little bit too late” for Democrats to appeal to parents. They brought in all the party’s heavy hitters from Barack Obama to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to “pander for votes.” But, according to Trump, all they ended up getting was a “real wake-up call.” As she explained, parents aren’t “buying” into Democrats’ claims they are on their side.

Trump also mocked the Democrats’ work to undermine family units. “Gosh, isn’t it interesting” parents don’t want public schools teaching their children “hateful rhetoric [and] critical race theory?” Continuing, she asked, “Isn’t it crazy” parents don’t embrace Democrats calling parents “domestic terrorists?”
Trump concluded her remarks by predicting the American people would continue pushing back against Democrats. Noting recent party chatter has already driven a lot of Independents and some Democrats to the GOP, Trump said she thought the country would see more defections to the Republican party in 2022 and 2024.
