Latest Senate Vote Reveals Trump’s Likelihood of Acquittal

Trump Snubs Former Ally

(ReliableNews.org) – Democrats can’t or won’t spare the time to reach across the aisle and work with Republicans to pass the next COVID-19 relief bill. Nevermind the fact American workers and businesses are struggling to survive in the wake of a national health crisis and the economic destruction caused by quarantines and other restrictive measures.

On the other hand, they have managed to find the time to attempt to bar Donald Trump from holding federal office again using a constitutionally sketchy impeachment trial. It matters not that their chance of success is next to nothing.

A total of 44 Republican senators already voted to end the trial, pointing out it’s unconstitutional to impeach a president once he’s left office.

Many Republican senators pointed out that vote showed that Democrats would fail to find 17 Republicans to join them in finding Trump guilty.

For instance. Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) said he didn’t see any Republicans voting for conviction considering the fact they already went on the record challenging the trial’s legality under the US Constitution.

Too bad Democrats seem unable to do anything other than attack Donald Trump. Now is the time when America needs decisive leadership and not political stunts.
