(ReliableNews.org) – In March, President Donald Trump signed a bill providing COVID-19 aid to US families. Millions of Americans have received their Economic Impact Payments, but others are still waiting. Now, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has a plan to get assistance out to people who desperately need it.
During the April 21 White House press conference, Mnuchin said he was sending prepaid debit cards to people in order to get their payments out faster. According to the president, more than 80 million Americans have received their stimulus payments already.

The debit cards are a great idea because they’ll help the millions of people who have no bank accounts. Better yet, they won’t have to pay check-cashing fees to get their payments. At a time when every dollar counts, that’s a big deal.
