Mueller, having found nothing that he could pin on Trump in his Russia investigation, has finally spoken up. The two year investigation revealed nothing that could result in charges against Trump, so Mueller decided to go another route in a thinly veiled attempt to seek impeachment. Naturally, the Democrats immediately jumped on board.
As Mueller gave the announcement of his resignation from the Justice Department, he made sure to include this remark. “The Constitution requires a process other than the criminal justice system to formally accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing,”
U.S. Senator Kamala Harris, caught the hint right away and ran to Twitter, claiming, “What Robert Mueller basically did was return an impeachment referral.”
Meanwhile, more than a few leading Republicans along with The White House shared their thoughts that enough time and money has been wasted already and it’s time to turn the focus of those resources on to matters that actually are important.
We’re interested in what US citizens think of this mess. Should a renewed investigation continue or is it time to move on to more important things?
