Naked Person Arrested for Streaking Around Disneyland’s ‘It’s a Small World’ Attraction

( – The uptick in hate crimes against Jewish and Muslim people in America has alarmed authorities. An attack on three Palestinian students stunned a city in Vermont. Now, police have arrested a suspect in the case.

On Saturday, November 25, three college students were walking near the University of Vermont in Burlington when they were attacked. Tahseen Ahmed, Hisham Awartani, and Kinnan Abdalhamid were reportedly speaking English and Arabic. Two of them were wearing traditional Palestinian headdresses and kaffiyehs. Suddenly, a man shot at the students four times. Family members told The New York Times that Ahmed was shot in the chest and Abdalhamid suffered minor injuries.

( – More than 16 million people visited California’s Disneyland in 2021. The park attracts people from all over the world. Every once in a while, a guest behaves badly, and it’s captured on video for the world to see.

A video circulated online after Thanksgiving showing a man acting out while on the “It’s a Small World” ride at Disneyland. The man stripped down to his underwear, exited the ride, and started climbing on props. He was seen sitting on top of the Taj Mahal with fake flying carpets circling overhead.

As the man climbed all over the ride, staff members shouted at him to stop. They warned him that he was going to get hurt. Other guests worried that he would break the ride.

At some point, the man took off his underwear. A video showed him outside the ride without any clothes on after wading through the water. Anaheim Police responded to the scene and arrested the erratic park visitor on suspicion of indecent exposure and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The police had to hog-tie the man to get him out of the park. They covered him in blankets, trying to shield him from the children at the park.

Guests behaving badly are nothing new for Disney. In October, a fight broke out at the California amusement park. Video circulated on the internet showing a group of people punching one another at the park in Fantasyland near the Storybook Land Canal Boats and Mad Tea Party. At least five adults were involved in the conflict, and they bumped into baby strollers while throwing punches. At one point, a man fell onto the ground, and a woman kicked him. Security was able to break up the fight, and law enforcement responded to the scene.

Fights have become common at the Disney parks in California and Florida, too, according to reports.

Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger called it “chilling” to think the students might have been attacked because they are Arabic. However, the police have said they don’t know what motivated the alleged shooter. Law enforcement searched Eaton’s apartment but refused to give any further information. Police Chief Jon Murad warned people against jumping to conclusions without all of the evidence.

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who lives in Burlington and once served as its mayor, called the crime “deeply upsetting” and said, “Hate has no place here or anywhere.” Senator Peter Welch (D-VT) condemned “hate and Islamophobia,” saying it wasn’t “reflective of [their] Vermont values” and called for the end of “fear, intimidation, and violence.”

US Attorney Nikolas P. Kerest said the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division will be working with his office and investigating whether the shooting was a hate crime.
