Nancy Pelosi Allowed Congress Members On House Floor Who Tested Positive For COVID

(ReliableNews.org) – When President Donald Trump contracted COVID-19 last year, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was not very sympathetic. She went as far as to say his behavior was a “brazen invitation” for the virus. Democrats, in general, have repeatedly attacked Republicans for their response to the coronavirus, and even blamed them for attending so-called “superspreader” events. Meanwhile, Pelosi allowed members of her own caucus to put lives at risk.

On Sunday, January 3, the election for speaker of the House was held in Congress. Lawmakers traveled to Capitol Hill to cast ballots, including at least one Democrat who tested positive for the deadly virus. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) was on the floor to cast a vote for Pelosi, just six days after announcing she was positive for the virus.

Pelosi’s decision to allow Moore on the floor just to preserve her own power was not just hypocritical, it was dangerous. And the decision came just a few days after Congressman-elect Luke Letlow (R-LA) died from COVID-19 complications. Apparently, the speaker didn’t think that was reason enough to keep our lawmakers safe.
