(ReliableNews.org) – The US Capitol has looked like a fortress since January. Fencing and National Guard troops still surround the Capitol Building, keeping American citizens from getting near it. And recently, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is moving forward with a bill that is supposed to address safety issues on the Hill.
On Sunday, April 11, Pelosi said the alleged $2-billion Capitol security funding bill is “just about ready” to be put forth. She said there was “no need” to wait until the investigation into the January 6 incident was complete before they pass the spending bill.

Republicans have pointed out that there is no current threat at the Capitol, so it doesn’t seem to make sense to pour so many resources to lock it down. Conservatives have dubbed the area around the Capitol Building “Fort Pelosi.” They believe all of the drama surrounding the incident in January is just an attempt to make former President Donald Trump’s supporters look bad.
