New Polling Suggests Trump Is Leading Biden

(ReliableNews.org) – President Joe Biden began his presidency with a favorability rating of 54% two weeks into his administration. By late May, his rating dropped to 49%, and by October, it appeared to stabilize at 40%. However, the latest figures released by Quinnipiac University Poll show former President Donald Trump’s favorability rating at 41%.

When it comes to how Biden is handling his job, 45% of registered voters say they strongly disapprove of his performance, with only 20% saying they strongly approve of it.

FiveThirtyEight, a respected polling organization, took a deeper look at Biden’s numbers in an October 21 report. According to them, Biden has lost support across a broad spectrum of voters to include Baby Boomers and members of Generation Z, males and females, Blacks and Whites.

However, Hispanic and Independent voters present the most significant decline in approval ratings for Biden, potentially foreboding bad times for Democrats as a whole during the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.

FiveThirtyEight went on to note it’s not unusual for a new president’s numbers to drop during the first nine months in office. But, the polling group stated although Biden’s numbers appear to have stabilized at the “mid-to-low 40s,” there’s an absence of any indication his approval will bounce back.

Meanwhile, 78% of Republicans say they want Donald Trump to run for president in 2024.
