(ReliableNews.org) – President Joe Biden has made reentering the Iran nuclear deal one of his top foreign policy goals. The administration has been negotiating for the better part of a year without any tangible results. While the Middle Eastern nation has not halted its aggressive behavior, the White House has not been deterred from pursuing a deal with them.
On Tuesday, March 22, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby joined Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” to discuss the Biden administration’s policies. He told the hosts the US relationship with Russia is “not at a premium” because the nation is waging a war on Ukraine. However, he said the administration is still pursuing the nuclear deal with Iran despite Russia’s war crimes.
Kirby went on to say the US is still involved in talks with Iran because it believes it’s the best way to stop the Middle Eastern country from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The same day Kirby spoke to the Fox hosts, State Department Press Secretary Ned Price told reporters there might not even be a nuclear deal. He said, “An agreement of this sort is neither imminent nor is it certain.” Like Kirby, Price said the main goal of the talks is to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
Do you think it’s a good idea for the Biden administration to continue negotiating a deal?
