(ReliableNews.org) – New York’s Democratic governor Andrew Cuomo finds himself knee-deep in scandal this week in the wake of reports state health officials underreported the number of coronavirus-related deaths at nursing homes and other long-term healthcare facilities. On February 17, the Times-Union reported FBI officials and the US Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn launched a probe into the Cuomo administration’s actions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amid all this mounting controversy, a democratic member of New York’s state assembly claimed Cuomo threatened him after he spoke out against the embattled governor’s handling of coronavirus deaths at nursing homes.

Assemblyman Ron Kim spoke to a local NBC News affiliate on February 17. According to him, Cuomo spent about 10 minutes yelling at him and threatening him and his career. He also related that his wife overheard the governor and was both shocked and frightened by the ferocity of his attack.
Fortunately, Kim and other state legislators from both sides of the aisle are holding strong and refuse to cover up for Cuomo. We will keep you updated as events unfold regarding this story.
