Putin Accused of Scheme to Flood Country With Illegals

(ReliableNews.org) – America isn’t the only country experiencing a spike in illegal migration. On Wednesday, November 10, Polish officials spoke out about a recent surge of migrants at the country’s eastern border. They also accused Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of masterminding the crisis.

Polish border officials said random spikes of migrants began approaching the border on Tuesday. An unknown number managed to force their way into Poland, raising alarm bells with local officials.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak recently addressed the problem during a radio interview. “The situation is [tense],” he explained.

Small groups of migrants are attacking the Polish border at several locations simultaneously, making it difficult for border officials to push back the invading migrants.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki echoed those concerns, adding Russian authorities used the migrants as “human shields to destabilize… Poland and the [European Union].” Continuing, he stated, “This attack… has its mastermind in Moscow [and] the mastermind is President Putin.”

Kremlin officials pushed back on that claim, stating it was “irresponsible” for Poland to blame Putin for problems they provoked. Belarus’ foreign minister, Vladimir Makei, said he concurred, adding the European Union created the crisis by imposing harsh economic sanctions on Belarus.

What do you think? Is Putin trying to destabilize Europe, or is Poland merely attempting to scapegoat him?
