Putin Ally Confesses to Election Interference
(ReliableNews.org) – The FBI has repeatedly accused Russia of interfering in US elections. The country is accused of targeting people with misinformation campaigns and dividing the American people. One of President Vladimir Putin’s allies has seemingly confessed to doing exactly that.
On Monday, November 7, Russian businessman Yevgeny V. Prigozhin seemingly admitted that his government meddled in US elections. A news outlet asked him about reports of election interference, The New York Times reported he responded by saying, “Gentlemen, we have interfered, we do interfere and we will interfere.” The remark was posted online by his catering company.

In 2018, federal prosecutors indicted Prigozhin for his role in efforts to meddle in the 2016 elections. Two years later, in 2020, the agency decided not to prosecute him after all, just weeks before the case was set to go to trial.
In his most recent remarks, Prigozhin said Russians were going to interfere in a careful, surgical manner. He didn’t go into any other details, and the US elections in 2016 seemed to go off without a hitch, despite the remarks made by the Russian official.
Are you worried about foreign adversaries interfering in US elections? Or do you think the threat has been made bigger than reality?
