(ReliableNews.org) – Republicans have pushed back against Obamacare since a Democratic-led Congress passed the bill in 2009. For one thing, they don’t like the fact that the program forces a redistribution of wealth. Under Obamacare, individuals who can afford to purchase insurance directly from a provider have to pay higher premiums to fund the government-run marketplaces for those who can’t.
On April 10, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke out about Republicans supporting Obamacare during a speech at the “Save America Summit,” hosted at Trump National Doral resort in Miami. He urged voters to vote fellow senators Susan Collins (R-ME) Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) out of office for defecting and voting with now-deceased former Senator John McCain (R-AZ) to save Obamacare in 2017.

Sen. Paul reminded attendees of the summit of that betrayal, telling them that we already know Democrats want “socialized health medicine” and a national healthcare system. “You gotta send home [Republicans] who lie to you” and then support Obamacare, he explained.
Sen. Paul’s call for voters to remove Republicans siding with Democrats echoes Donald Trump’s March 9 statement against “RINOS [Republicans In Name Only] and fools.” As Trump stated, Republicans can “WIN BIG,” but not if Republicans donate money to those defectors.
