(ReliableNews.org) – On June 23, Rayshard Brooks’ loved ones packed the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church to mourn him. At the same time, in the Wendy’s parking lot where he died, there was a hotbed of activity. And, neighbors aren’t happy about the recent events.
According to news reports, armed protestors took over the Wendy’s parking lot when Brooks was killed by a now-fired police officer. Activists consider the area a decree zone. Neighbors say it’s becoming very dangerous and law enforcement in the city is just letting it happen. Kimberlee Jones told WXIA that her husband almost got shot while others actually have.
Sad situation someone today and yesterday at Wendy's that is blocked off by armed young men with long guns and pistols. All businesses surrounding are boarded. The tension is in the air and emotions are raw. Police are not in sight. Is this Atlanta? No! We must rise up! pic.twitter.com/At86bIAQYL

This is the third time this week protestors have taken over an area of a city. In Washington DC, they failed in their attempt to create an autonomous zone outside of the White House. In Seattle, where a zone exists, officials finally tried to chase them out. The new trend of trying to control cities is pretty disturbing and a recipe for disaster — what are leaders going to do about it?
