(ReliableNews.org) – Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) ordered his state to fully reopen on March 2. Residents will no longer have to wear masks and there will be no shutdowns. The next day, a senator praised his decision.
During an interview with Fox Business’ “Mornings with Maria,” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said the decision to reopen his state was the right one. He explained that the shutdowns were a “serious mistake” that cost many people their jobs and hurt school children. He said the people in the Lone Star state are “ready to get back to work.”
Cruz also responded to Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom’s tweet calling the end of Abbott’s mask mandate “reckless.” The senator said the governor is probably “unhappy” because so many of his residents are leaving the state to move to Texas.

The American people are ready to return to normalcy. Abbott’s order will allow his state to do just that. Isn’t it time Democratic governors start to think about the people they represent and not how much control they can have over them?
