“The Young and the Restless” Star’s Mother Clarifies Circumstances of His Passing

(ReliableNews.org) – Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1979, Billy Miller grew up to become an actor and producer. Although he had many credits to his name, he is well known for his role as Billy Abbott on the long-running soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” Miller won three Daytime Emmys for his portrayal of the character. Sadly, his life was cut short on September 15, and his mother recently spoke out about her loss to dispel some rumors.

On September 19, Patricia Miller released a statement thanking her son’s fans and friends for their support since her son’s untimely death. She said Billy Miller had been suffering for a very long time with bipolar depression and he fought hard to overcome and control the disease. In the end, the disease “won the fight, and he surrendered his life.” She said any other stories about the cause of her beloved son’s death were “not true,” adding she wished they were — but they’re not. Ms. Miller didn’t elaborate on what those rumors were exactly.

Billy Miller played many roles over the course of his career on screen, including characters Jason Morgan/Drew Cain on “General Hospital,” Richie Novak on “All My Children,” and roles in shows such as “CSI: NY,” “Castle,” “Major Crimes,” “The Rookie,” and “NCIS.” In addition to his acting, the talented artist was also a businessman, owning several bars and restaurants in LA.

After his death, Miller’s friends and former co-stars spoke out saying how gifted he was, commenting on his wonderful charm, and relaying how sad they were at his passing.

His mom concluded her statement by saying how much his family loved him, and now they are all trying to figure out how to deal with the loss. While she thanked everyone for their well-wishes and support, Ms. Miller said she wouldn’t comment about the tragedy again to the public.
