Top Republican Admits Trump Is Still Going To Lead The Republican Party

(ReliableNews.org) – Former President Donald Trump departed the White House the morning of January 20 and headed to Andrews Air Base, where he gave a farewell speech to an adoring crowd. He delivered his departing words before boarding Air Force One for the flight to his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida. He told the cheering crowd to “have a good life” and promised he would “be back.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) admitted during a Fox News interview on January 21, that Donald Trump would continue to have the ability to unite and lead the Republican Party.

McCarthy elaborated to state that Trump moved the country in the right direction during his time in office, enjoying great success through his decisive leadership. He added that Trump was able to bring new people to the Republican party that hadn’t supported the GOP in the past and expressed the hope that the former president would continue to do so.

Questions continue to surround the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election. However, one thing remains clear, Donald Trump won the hearts of millions of Americans who gave him the highest number of votes of any incumbent president in the nation’s history. He remains a dominant force in the GOP; a position Rep. McCarthy readily admits he will hold for a long time to come.
