(ReliableNews.org) – Elon Musk has become a conservative icon since purchasing Twitter. He brought back many of the far-right figures who were banned from the platform. The former president is reportedly considering an advisory role for the billionaire.
Former President Donald Trump has been in close contact with Musk in recent months. He reportedly spoke to the Tesla CEO on the telephone multiple times and floated the possibility of giving Musk a White House advisory role if he is elected to serve in the Oval Office again.
People who were allegedly familiar with the conversations said that the men were discussing ways to give Musk input on federal policies. However, the details of the role had not been hammered out fully and still might not happen. The role could be like the one former Marvel chairman Ike Perlmutter served in during Trump’s first term. He wasn’t a well-known member of the administration, but he quietly helped change policies at the Department of Veterans Affairs as an unofficial advisor.
Musk has become a vocal and powerful critic of President Joe Biden in the last several months. He regularly speaks out about him on X, formerly Twitter. He has spoken out against the immigration issues facing the country and Biden’s failure to stem the flow at the Southern border. He’s also an opponent of the Left’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. Additionally, Musk is embroiled in multiple federal investigations. He has previously stated that he doesn’t intend to vote for the Democratic nominee in the upcoming election and allegedly met with Trump in March.
The Tesla billionaire is also reportedly working on technology that would catch voter fraud. Trump believes that’s what contributed to his loss in 2020, though he has never proven his allegations. Still, the technology is something that has reportedly caught the former president’s eye.
