Trump Says They “Knew” – Tells Who Was Really Behind It
(ReliableNews.org) – On August 8, the FBI executed a search warrant on former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. The next day, the former POTUS accused President Joe Biden of having previous knowledge of the raid. Although White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told the press the Oval Office did not have a “heads up,” Trump isn’t buying the story.
What He Said and Why
Immediately following the search, the former president spoke out about the raid to the public, calling it unnecessary and inappropriate. Trump also posted on his social media platform to say Biden “knew all about” the action beforehand. He believes the move by the FBI was a “coordinated attack” by the radical Left, piggy-backing on the accusations of Russian collusion during and after the 2016 general election. Trump called the measure a “surprise attack” on a political target.
Eric Trump, the former commander-in-chief’s son, also believes the current president received a briefing on the matter before agents entered his father’s home. He said it’s impossible to believe Biden was “kept in the dark.” The younger Trump is convinced the US leader signed off on the measure, doubting the agency would make such an unprecedented move without approval.
Her Side of the Story
Jean-Pierre insisted Biden found out about the property search from the media, just like the rest of the public. She said the Department of Justice runs independently from the White House, and the president was clear about that from nearly day one. According to her, Biden believes DOJ investigations must be “free from political influence.” The press secretary claimed the US leaders leave legal matters to law enforcement, and they “are not involved” at all.

Several outlets report the unannounced search was an attempt to retrieve boxes of classified documents Trump took to his private residence when he left the White House in January 2021. However, no one except the former president, his lawyers, the FBI, US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, the DOJ, and a handful of others know what was in the warrant. Unfortunately, Trump has yet to reveal the contents. The question is: Does Biden know and if so, when did he find out?
Beyond what she already said about the commander-in-chief being kept out of the loop, Jean-Pierre refused to comment further on an ongoing investigation. The DOJ may “unseal the records” for the public to see the legal document served upon the former president. A decision will be made on the matter by August 15. Judicial Watch urged the branch to release the information for transparency purposes to end speculation on the matter.
