(ReliableNews.org) – At the end of April, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced she was appointing high-profile Democrats to a panel to oversee President Donald Trump’s COVID-19 response. Republicans immediately spoke out against her plans and called it “impeachment 2.0.” Now, the president’s moving to protect the country from another investigation.
The Trump administration issued new guidance on May 4 for how it wants its COVID-19 task force officials to respond to Congress. A senior White House official told The Hill the task force is “prioritizing coronavirus response work.” Pelosi was angry about the decision… apparently, she thinks the team has time to waste.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) blasted the White House's move to restrict officials leading the nation's coronavirus response from testifying before Congress, suggesting that the Trump administration "might be afraid of the truth." https://t.co/Yjbel6NQTI

Pelosi and Dems would rather have the task force members sitting on Capitol Hill for hours testifying rather than handling the COVID-19 pandemic. They don’t seem to understand there are higher priority issues right now. And hey, if Congress wants to waste its time instead of helping the American people deal with financial and health needs, that’s their prerogative, but Trump won’t be participating and neither will his team.
