(ReliableNews.org) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) froze in front of the cameras twice last year. The incident left Americans wondering whether he had a medical episode of some sort. Former President Donald Trump appeared to have a similar issue at a recent event. He took to social media to rant about POTUS Joe Biden and called them liars.
On May 18, Trump traveled to Dallas, Texas, to speak at the annual National Rifle Association (NRA) Convention. The former president was about two hours late for his speech. He eventually arrived and greeted an excited crowd.
Social media lit up with claims that the 77-year-old froze for 30 seconds during his speech while encouraging Texas voters to cast their ballots early. Video of the incident shows the former president standing on stage and not speaking while music played. He then continued with his speech as if nothing happened. Democrats quickly flooded the Internet and shared clips of it, calling Trump “senile” and making other allegations about his ability to serve. Others asked, “He pulled a Mitch?”
Not one to take criticism from the Left lying down Trump responded to the allegations on his social media platform, Truth Social. He said Biden’s campaign made up the whole controversy. He explained that he was pausing intentionally for the music and told people to go watch videos of his other speeches where he does the same thing.
The former president went on to accuse Biden’s campaign of making up stories because “Biden freezes all the time, can’t put two sentences together” and needs help finding the stage. The Republican nominee declared, “Donald Trump doesn’t freeze! It is a MADE UP Biden Campaign story” in a random newspaper. He went on to say the president is a “completely incompetent and corrupt person” for putting out that story and another one about him allegedly stumbling on stage.
