(ReliableNews.org) – Cancel culture is nothing new. Big tech companies have been doing it for a long time. However, in the wake of the controversy surrounding the 2020 presidential election, things have taken a turn for the worse. For instance, there appears to be a concerted effort by some to use the courts to target individuals.
A perfect example can be found in Dominion Voting Systems’ $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit against Mike Lindell, the founder and CEO of My Pillow, Inc.

Dominion filed the case in the US District Court for the District of Columbia on February 22. The suit alleges Michael Lindell knowingly promoted the “Big Lie” that Dominion stole the election from Donald Trump.
Curiously, the complaint and demand for a jury trial are short on facts but long on insults. For instance, the very first paragraph referred to him as a “former professional card counter.” It also talked about his “deceptive” marketing practices and his prowess for “duping” prospective customers.
The hearing schedule for the trial remains unclear, but we will keep you updated as events unfold.
