(ReliableNews.org) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced that she asked Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré (Ret) to lead an independent body to review security in the nation’s capital in the wake of the January 6 riot at the US Capitol Building. Of particular note is the fact Honoré previously headed up the task force looking into Republican President George W. Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina?
If you see a pattern here, you aren’t alone. Fox News host Tucker Carlson spoke out against Honoré’s appointment during his show’s February 17 airing.
Tucker: Pelosi's named a conspiracy theorist — who claimed the Capitol riot was an “inside job” and has said some Republicans “should be treated like terrorists” — to conduct an overview of Capitol Hill security pic.twitter.com/KO5RGlt5Zo

Carlson pointed out Honoré’s divisive nature and the fact he has already decided the probe’s outcome before it’s been completed. Carlson noted that having him head up the probe is “like putting Joy Reid” in command of capital security.
Just because Honoré is a retired general doesn’t mean the American public should take him at his word regarding the riot. He suggested the riot was “an inside job” the day after the incident, adding that the capitol’s sergeant-at-arms “might be implicated” in the incident.
Carlson makes several good points. Perhaps it’s time for Pelosi to move on and work with Republicans to get Americans back to work and restore the nation’s economy.
